Robin Packalen has released some highly anticipated new music. The new single “Kuumilla Hiilillä” tells about the irresistible attraction and the compulsive need to get to the other person at any cost. The song is crowned by a music video shot and directed by Ari Virem,

In addition to Packalen, the song’s creative team includes several of Finland’s most talented musicians: MDS, also considered for Grammy nominations, Mikael Gabriel, who participated in the UMK competition, and Vilma Alina, who is nominated for Musician of the Year. The song’s production is handled by top producers Jussifer and Grammy-nominated Danitello.

“Kuumillä Hiilillä tells about the compulsive need to get to a loved one, even if it requires going through hell. Often, being apart from another person feels empty and meaningless, which leads to a feeling as if the walls are falling on top of you. Then fate leaves no other options than to take it and go towards salvation.

The song was born at a song camp in the summer of 2023. First of all, I was really excited to be able to work with this group, because you rarely get to be in the same room with such tough guys. So, it’s no wonder that this was once again one of those songs that was born as if by itself. I presented the topic “Kuumilla Hiilillä / Walking on Fire in english” in the light of how often the Finnish grit is described. Everyone had the same feeling after the day that we have a piece of Finnish pop music history in our hands. Shout out also to Miklu’s dog Biggie, who acted as a soothing mood lifter for the whole group!”

Robin Packalen is undoubtedly one of the most successful artists in Finland and the Nordic countries. The pop star, who started his career in 2012, has released five multi-platinum albums in his career, and in total the artist’s music has been streamed more than 500 million times. In February, the artist tours a lot, after which he heads to Korea for a few months to prepare new music.
